The logo as an expression of the basic philosophy
The first step in developing the communication platform for the MINT high school of excellence in Bad Saulgau was the development of a logo. This should include a focus on mathematics, computer science, natural sciences and technology. In addition, there should be a balance between modern standards and traditional senders - in short: cool enough for a hoodie, elegant enough for the old building that will be the central school building. In addition to the graphical presentation of the main topics and the lettering of the school name, the resulting word and image mark also includes the state of Baden-Württemberg as the bearer and trusting sender.
Corporate design and communicative appearance
Based on the logo and the stated claim of the Ministry of Education, the next step was to develop a corporate design in order to be able to present itself appropriately and consistently in external communication. It had to be considered that, on the one hand, a variety of communication channels would be used — from printed leaflets and letterheads to social media channels — and, on the other hand, that very diverse target groups should be addressed: future students as well as their parents, but also partners from business and politics, as well as teachers. All these aspects were incorporated into the corporate design of the MINT Exzellenzgymnasium Bad Saulgau.
The website as a center of communication
In order to create a central point on which all future communication measures, an independent website was created for the MINT high school of excellence. Here, the very specific, top-notch target group can find all the information they need about the new institution, its modules and subjects, as well as the framework conditions in the areas of school, boarding and service. Design, concept and UX are stringently based on corporate design and are deliberately aimed at appealing to girls and boys alike. Both students and teachers can even apply directly via the website.
